Dream Pod 9 will be attending Historicon 2026 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania from Thursday July 16th thru Sunday July 19th, 2026 at the Lancaster Marriott at Penn Square & Lancaster County Convention Center. DP9 Staff of Robert Dubois, Joe Johnson, John Tinney, and a few more will be in attendance and we'll be running HGB demos and selling product at our booth all 4 days, see Exhibit Hall Map below with DP9's booth location. Plus we'll be running a Heavy Gear Blitz tournament on the Friday evening and our Pod Squad teams will be running a bunch of other games during the convention, see our ad for the Historicon 2026 Program Booklet below for all the events. You'll also see a small preview of DP9's upcoming July release of the Terra Novan Fauna Box Set, we'll have a full preview in the coming week. Checkout the Historicon website at the following link for more info and if your planning on attending to register for the HGB Tournament or Events. https://historicon.org/historicon-2026/ Dream Pod 9 will also be attending the following upcoming Conventions: - Fall-In! 2026 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA at the Wyndham Resort and Convention Center on November 6th thru 8th, 2026. - CaptainCon 2027 in Warwick, Rhode Island, USA at the Crowne Plaza Providence-Warwick on February 5th thru 7th, 2027. (We won't be attending Cold Wars 2027 as its scheduled for the same weekend as CaptainCon 2027.) Sadly Dream Pod 9 will not be attending Otakuthon 2026 this August in our home town of Montreal, Canada. We had planned to attend and applied for a vendor booth, but Otakuthon now uses a lottery system to get a booth and DP9 was denied a booth this year. Its very sad as Dream Pod 9 helped support Otakuthon when they started back in 2006 and we are the only Quebec miniature and wargaming company. But the old staff at Otakuthon is long gone and replaced with a new group that does not care about local Quebec or Canadian companies. -
Today we have a preview of the new Visigoth and Blitz Visigoth Main Battle Tank 3D Models for our Southern Faction of Heavy Gear Blitz. The new Visigoth includes an optional old style Khan turret part for players that liked that look. And both tanks get new a tank commander in open hatch for the turret and open driver cockpit for the main hull, done by our 3D Modeler Taro. Plus two small Light Laser AA parts, one flat like the older tanks and a second angled up in firing position. And lastly they get a new SatUp part for the command upgrade coming in the future HGB 4.0 rules. The Visigoths were 3D modeled by Jocke who is a new addition to the DP9 Team, he did a great job and is currently he is working on the new Artemis tank also for the South. Checkout all the preview images with exploded and top down parts views and the HGB 3.1 Model Stats for the new tank models below. These new 3D printed resin tanks will replace the older cast resin with pewter parts models. As pewter costs continue to rise the Dream Pod 9 Team is working hard to get older costly pewter models replaced with new 3D printed resin versions. We have hundreds 3D models that need to get made, so its going to take a while. The models are now being test printed and then we'll get them painted and ready for a planned July release date on the DP9 Online Store.

Dream Pod 9's June 2026 release of the new 3D printed resin Owl Two Pack is now available to order on the DP9 Online Store. The Owl is a command gear for the Black Talon faction of Heavy Gear Blitz, sold as a two pack with leaning and running poses. The Owl was 3D modeled by Tony Baltera to replace the old pewter miniature two pack and single pack, he also make a new style Owl head. Checkout photos below of the assembled and painted Owl leaning pose Alpha variant with MRF and running pose Nu variant with MRL by Alain Gadbois. Plus photo of the Alpha variant with the old style Owl head and rear view of the painted Owls. Along with photos of the resin parts, extra HGB 3.1 weapons and a few of the upcoming HGB 4.0 weapons painted but not shown on the 2 miniatures, plus the HGB 3.1 Stats.
